Picture this:

You wake up and the sun is just coming up over the mountains bringing its morning greeting.

After a tongue-in-cheek delicious breakfast, you head out with a select group of people to find a place in the mountains where you can indulge yourself on paper and/or canvas. Picturesque villages as subject, landscapes with the most beautiful views from mountain tops or just abstract. With oil paint, acrylic or watercolor. The possibilities are as vast as the creative brain can contain.

After a few hours of work we take our time to open the picnic basket we brought with us and eat our lunch.

Or we’ll hit up one of the many traditional Portuguese restaurants to sample the region’s finest produce.

After lunch we will visit another place where we will end the day with some drawings and paintings richer.

Mika has worked for years as an art teacher in the Netherlands.

With a broad baggage of knowledge she knows how to make every painting vacation a true feast.

Whether you have no experience or a lot. It does not matter. The painting vacations are tailored to the participants.

A few times a year Mika will organize a painting week.

But also throughout the year you can join us for drawing and painting on request.

The best period for painting is in spring and autumn.

In case of bad weather, there is the option to work in Mika’s cozy studio in Pombal.

Imagine isto:

Acorda e o sol está a nascer por cima das montanhas com a sua saudação matinal.

Depois de um pequeno-almoço delicioso, parte com um grupo selecionado de pessoas para encontrar um local nas montanhas onde se possa entregar ao papel e/ou à tela. Aldeias pitorescas como tema, paisagens com as mais belas vistas do cimo das montanhas ou simplesmente abstractas. Com tinta a óleo, acrílica ou aguarela. As possibilidades são tão vastas quanto o cérebro criativo pode conter.

Depois de algumas horas de trabalho, aproveitamos para abrir o cesto de piquenique que trouxemos e almoçar.

Ou então vamos a um dos muitos restaurantes tradicionais portugueses para provar os melhores produtos da região.

Depois do almoço, visitaremos outro local onde terminaremos o dia com alguns desenhos e pinturas mais ricos.

A Mika trabalhou durante anos como professora de arte na Holanda.

Com uma vasta bagagem de conhecimentos, ela sabe como fazer de cada férias de pintura um verdadeiro banquete.

Quer tenha pouca ou muita experiência. Não importa. As férias de pintura são feitas à medida dos participantes.

Algumas vezes por ano, o Mika organiza uma semana de pintura.

Mas também durante todo o ano pode juntar-se a nós para desenhar e pintar, a pedido.

A melhor altura para pintar é na primavera e no outono.

Em caso de mau tempo, existe a opção de trabalhar no estúdio acolhedor do Mika em Pombal.
